Sustainability

The United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set the course for our future – and we make a crucial contribution through our work. The goals of Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3), Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12), and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17) are of great importance to us.

Eye health

We are specialists in all aspects of eye health. Highly trained professionals, rigorous quality controls, and continuous development promote "Good Vision for Everyone."

Modern Technology and Quality

We stand for high-quality optical care and attach great importance to providing the best possible care for refractive errors. For this, we rely on modern technology, such as a specially developed app for patient data, and also use artificial intelligence to further develop and optimize our work.

Inclusion

We employ people with disabilities. For example, Constant, our first blind employee, works in Burkina Faso. Through his work, he can support his family and is integrated into the job market, something that is otherwise very difficult in Burkina Faso.

Rethinking development cooperation

We train people in the program countries and create secure jobs for highly qualified staff. Furthermore, our organizational structure is designed so that the countries in which we operate act as partner organizations on the ground.

School programs and education

Good vision is the foundation for children, teenagers, and adults to learn to read, write, and do arithmetic. With our GoodVision School project, we promote good vision in schools and offer schoolchildren, teachers, and parents a new perspective.

Gender equality

We pay equal wages for the same roles and responsibilities, regardless of gender. At the same time, it is important to us to create opportunities, especially for women, within their social environment. For example, our production team in Peru is entirely female.
